Dream
My dream is gone but I still keep The remnants of its solemn glory; ‘Tis time for tears but I don’t weep, For this eternal woe’s my only worry. And naïve hopes are crushing into dust By neverending gale of solitude; The clouds’ve covered the heaven’s vast, But they are false, they can delude! The drops of blood embellish every line And every poem’s full of unshed tears; The blurry image in the glass of wine Reveals all of your hidden fears. Thus still I keep the slivers of my dream That stab my heart with every breath; Yet softness of the hope unseen Don’t let me yield to the oblivion of death. 1 June 2005
